Field Study #6

 11/29/22

Weather: Cloudy with scattered showers through out the day, and a high wind of 24mph

Temperature: Currently: 55℉ -- Low: 36℉ -- High: 57℉

Length of the day: 7:53am - 5:12pm

Today I'm very sad to say that most of the snow has melted away. From my last visit it looks quite different when covered in snow. But I have noticed that the trees have finally shed most of their leaves and the plants on the ground/leaves are mostly dead plus discolored. With it being so warm I'm wondering if the trees stop their 'winterizing' process or at least does it slow it down? Also how does it take for leaves to usually decompose because I figured that most leaves would be gone, but to my surprise there was still quite a few left. Nature is truly mind blowing, I know I've said this before but with how everything is so detailed is crazy and continually takes my breathe away. We surely have a great creator that takes pride in his creations.

Field Study #5

 11/15/22

Weather: Snowy, slight wind (7mph)

Temperature: Currently: 32℉ -- Low: 27℉ -- High: 35℉

Length of the day: 7:36am - 5:21pm

Today it was snowing when I took the photos, I believe the second snow fall of this year. It's quite exciting to see the seasons changing, also the fact that the holidays are soon approaching. The snow makes everything around the area seem quiet, there were some birds in the trees playing around above me. Most of the plants around the area has died off, but there is still some stranglers left. I also took a picture of my apple tree in the backyard on my way to my area because there was still some apples hanging on. That was kind of a surprise to me I thought that once frost hit the tree would shed all it's leaves and fruit. That brings up the question of how long does the winterizing period take for most trees and plants and why are some trees late to the game? Walking outside today also made me think how truly divine our God is, creating snowflakes are none are like the same. He's such a detailed creator and you can see that very much so throughout his creation.

Field Study #4

 10/30/22

Weather: Cloudy, wind(3mph), chance of rain

Temperature: Currently: 61℉ -- Low: 37℉ -- High:63℉

Length of the day: 8:16am-6:39pm

Today it was really nice weather out. The leaves have all basically changed color, not many have decided to fall yet but there is still a fair amount of the ground. My area has become more open it seems like because of the dying plants and the leaves slowly falling off the trees. The corn fields around the area have not been collected yet but it's getting close to harvest time, the stalks are becoming heavy. The area is exploding with color and is very peaceful. There were birds over head of me when I was taking my pictures. I haven't found any deer tracks back there yet but I know they are around.

Field Study #3

10/13/22 - 3:31

Weather: windy(14mph), showers throughout the day and cloudy.
Temperature: Current:51℉ -- Low:42 ℉ -- High:54 ℉
Length of the day: 7:57am-7:05pm

Today it was very fall like outside, the leaves are changing the temperatures have dropped quite a lot. It's been a great fall season so far. It's gorgeous walking to my spot because of how much different colors are in the trees. I was lucky to be able to take my pictures not in the rain.

#2 Field Study

 9/28/22 - 4:16

Weather: Cloudy, slight south 6mph wind, slightly rainy

Temperature: Current: 54℉ --- Low: 43℉ --- High: 56℉

Length of the day: 7:38am-7:31pm

Today it was very quiet outside. From the last time I visited my spot the temperature has dropped immensely, it's finally starting to feel like fall again. The leaves have barely changed any color only the tips have really changed. The air smelled fresh but with hints of soil and rotting trees. All in all, there hasn't been any huge changes from when I last visited.

#1 Field Study - 9/13/22

9/13/22 - 6:17

Weather: Cloudy, chance of rain, bits of sunshine, slightly windy
Temperature: Current: 70℉ --- Low: 51℉ --- High: 72℉
Length of the day: 7:22am-7:58pm

Today I noticed that the leaves have slowly started to change color on the top but they're barely visible. The temperatures have been getting slightly colder making it start to feel like fall. There were a lot of different birds chirping, there were insects that were making noise (I think mostly cicada's and some crickets). The air smelled like leaves and dirt which I'm assuming were from the decomposing fallen trees. I saw some deer on the way to my study area, it looked like two fawns. One thing that changed is that the "stream" was actually dried up from the last time I've been there, it now is flooded with weeds and other growth around it. Also like I said before the leaves are slowly changing to a less deep color of green into a lighter palish green, the leaves are on the verge of to the point where they're going to change color. I also found an animal hole (I think).

Video Area Footage

The stream is actually dried up, it is behind the trees but it's covered in growth now.
